It was a hectic weekend of Gaelic games for the St. James’ club. There was a number of exciting games that took place in Mervue ad Renmore. On Friday evening the Jimmies had a convincing win against Barna in the U-14 boys A Championship. In addition, the senior mens team played out a draw in the third round of the Division 1 senior league and the score was 1-7 (James’) to 0-10 (Mountbellew). Furthermore, the James’ Junior mens team suffered a defeat in the Division 4 league against Dunmore McHales. The senior ladies team also were defeated to St. Brendans in the third round of the Division 2 league. The St. James’ Juvenile girls club hosted the Feile in Renmore on Sunday and despite not qualify for the semi-finals, the team an management competed very well. Meanwhile the St. James’ U-12 boys team traveled out to Clarinbridge on Sunday morning for the second round of the City A league. Unfortunately, the game could not be played due to circumstances and instead both clubs played a competitive challenge game. The was a lot of support at all the games this weekend and the club are grateful for all the support.
