Frank Doherty’s side need to be at their best to beat Corofin

St James’ senior manager Frank Doherty is expecting a tough task when St James’ seniors line-out against Corofin in the Senior A league final on December 4. In addition, Frank Doherty added ‘it’s going to be tough and were expecting a huge challenge from the reigning All-Ireland champions and probably the team to beat in Galway in the past 3 to 4 years. Furthermore, they have quality players all over the pitch. We played them in the league two months ago and lost that day. That said we are looking forward to December 4. Paul Conroy will captain the team and given the lad’s hard work and dedication all year, they too are looking forward to this Grand Finale, Doherty added. He concluded ‘this will be my final game as senior manager for St James’. I have enjoyed every moment of my time in charge with the Jimmies and its being a pleasure working with the players, management and committee of St James’. It would be a great way to finish my time with St James’, if we could pull this off but we know it is going to be very tough’. On Friday December 4 at 7:30pm all roads will lead to Loughgeorge for this final showdown between both sides. All at St James’ G.A.A. are looking forward to this historical event. It is the first time, in club history that St James’ G.A.A. has qualified for a final of such great importance.
