On Friday the 7th of April, the Juvenile B Football final was contested between ‘The Bish’ and Ballinrobe secondary school. The last time these two sides met was in 2016 and ‘The Bish’ were defeated that day in Headford. Furthermore, ‘The Bish’ regrouped and prepared well for their championship campaign. The two sides met again in the final and it was ‘The Bish’ who emerged winners. Trailing by 5 points the boy’s in blue overturned the deficit and came out on top. Well done to all our St. James’ representatives, Ian Casserly, Jack Greaney and the whole Bish squad. Well done to all the panel of players and management on a fantastic victory. The final score from Tuam Stadium on the evening resulted ‘The final score resulted: Bish 1-13 Ballinrobe 2-06. Meanwhile, club man Alan Murphy and his 1st year squad were victorious in the Connacht B 1st year title on Thursday 6th of April. Well done to all the Jimmies players and the whole Bish squad on a hugely successful league and championship double. James’ had many players on this squad including Liam Melody, Gary Higgins, Ciaran Kinsella, Cian Griffin Curran, Dylan Dowling and Lee Deavney. The final score resulted Bish 8-10 Ballina 3-04.
