The club hosted a Halloween camp last week during the mid-term break.The camp had a strong emphasis on skills, fun, friendship and enjoyment. There will be another camp over the christmas period, Details of this cam will be released in the coming weeks.

Juvenile Coaching officer David Henry has organised a coaches training day on Saturday November 9th. A review of the year will take place in this seminar with a strong emphasis on coaching education.

The club would like to acknowledge Mike Elwood who was forced to retire this year due to a long term hip injury. Elwood was part of many successful teams in St. James’. Mike won various titles with the club including;

2007 Minor ‘A’ County Championship title
2009 Minor ‘A’ County Championship title
2010 Intermediate County Champions
2010 Intermediate Connacht Champions
2010 Intermediate All-Ireland Finalists
2012 U21 ‘A’ County Championship Winners
2012 Senior Division 2 league Winners
2017 Senior John Dunne Cup Winners

The club would like to thank Mike for all his contribution to the club and he is a big loss on the playing field. The club will definitely be using his expertise and experience with coaching in 2020. Thank you Mike for all the good days out, notably your performance in the U21 victory over Corofin in Pearse Stadium in 2012. A day not to be forgotten!
