An Excellent morning was had last Saturday at the Juvenile Boys coaching seminar. A very productive workshop was conducted by David Henry for all juvenile coaches. Many thanks to Tommy Byrne and his team at Coffee + Mervue for putting on a fine spread of refreshments for everyone. Another workshop will take place in the new year.

SMART MOVERS commenced last Friday night in the community center beside the clubhouse in Mervue. SMART MOVERS is aimed for club members born in 2007 & 2008. This winter program has a strong emphasis on skills of Gaelic games. All new beginners are very welcome to attend and will take will take place every Friday from now until the christmas period.

In school football, St. Joseph’s College “The Bish” defeated Holy Rosary Mountbellew in Mervue on Thursday morning in the Juvenile Connacht Football League. Ciaran de Paor who coaches at the St. James’ Academy is the manager of the “The Bish” team. The club had four underage players involved, including Daniel Quinn, Keith Connelly, Dara McGrath & Eoin Griffin.

The St. James’ U-20 team are in action this weekend. The Jimmies take on Killannin in the West board semi final this sunday @2pm in Mervue.The club are expecting a big crowd to cheer on the team & management.

The date for the St. James’ senior AGM will take place on Sunday 1st December 2019 at 8pm in Mervue.Motions in relation to this meeting must be submitted to Pat Burke by Sunday 24th November 2019.
