Well done to Jamie Hayes, Keane Griffin, Ciaran Kinsella, Jack Nolan and Joey O’Hara. All four boys were part of Galway’s comprehensive win against Cavan last weekend in the Dermott Earley tournament. In addition, U-14 player Nial Kirton made his debut for Galway too in the Seán Purcell competition scoring 1-1 from play in their opening game. Congratulations lads the club are extremely proud of yer achievements. An excellent night was had last Thursday at St. Michael’s Mervue school as we joined them in celebration. The school celebrated 50 years in existence and many of our club members attended school in Mervue. There is a photo gallery open this Saturday at the school from 11am to 1pm. Make sure to pop down to view the hall of fame and take a trip down memory lane. Well done to Johnny Regans U-13 team who defeated Oranmore/Maree last weekend in the opening round of the county league. Congratulations to all the players and management on a solid performance and victory. The St. James’ junior team had a convincing win against Killannin on Saturday night in the Division 4 county league, winning 2-13 to 1-9. Congratulations to a long servant of the club Mr. Michael Acton. Acto tied the knot with his newly wedded wife Laura. Mike is part of the U-16 management team in the club and we are privileged to have him coaching our future stars. We wish Michael & Laura a long happy life together.
