Donnellys AIT fall short in All-Ireland final
Club News

It was a case of hard luck today for Athlone IT. It was DCU who emerged winners in the final. In the build up to this encounter AIT progressed easily in their group stages and faced Trinity College Dublin in the semi-final. St. James’ star Aishling Donnelly played a pivotal role in this victory which resulted AIT 2-14 Trinity 1-11. The Giles final was played at a high intensity and the football on display was a joy to watch. Unfortunately for Aishling and her teammates they came up short and failed to capatilise. Nevertheless, this was a major achievement having reached the final and prior to this AIT won the league in 2016. The club are very proud of Aishling Donnelly achievements and are looking forward to her togging out for both the Jimmies and Galway this season.
