St. James’ Ladies were defeated last night in the Senior B league semi-final against Moycullen. Moycullen started the game on top and added tally of scores and this put them in a strong position at half-time. James’ had the aid of the wind in the second half and used it to their advantage. At one stage in the second half James’ narrowed the deficit and it looked like the game was going to turn in their favor. However, Moycullen managed to punish errors made by the James’ team. The girls from out west finished the game stronger and the final score resulted 7-10 4-15. James’ and Moycullen have now played each other twice this year. James’ won on the first outing in Moycullen and the visitors overturned the Jimmies in the second tie last night. The championship will be an interesting affair when both sides go head to head in 3 weeks time. James’ attention now turns to Clonbur, the Jimmies will play Clonbur in the Senior B league shield final in the next week or so.

St James' Ladies Football Club caters for girls aged 5 years upwards to a Senior Ladies Team covering the parishes of Mervue, Renmore, Ballybane and The Holy Sheppard (Doughiska, Roscam and Ardaun). We are volunteer led and affiliated to the LGFA.
