Last Saturday, the St. James' club hosted the 6th annual Darragh Frain Memorial tournament. A new feature of the tournament included the Mike O'Neill "Player of the Tournament" where three players from the cup, shield and plate were selected and presented with their trophy from the O'Neill family. The games began after the opening ceremony and it must be noted that the standard of football was extremely high. St.

St James u12 A footballers emerged victorious in the Group 1 Under 12 A final by defeating Loughrea in a pulsating and tension filled encounter in Tuam Stadium. The game was played in excellent conditions in the historic ground reffed by Fr Griffin's stalwart Kieran Quinn . St. James’ won home advantage with a coin toss earlier in the week and this game attracted large crowds in what was a closely contested affair. St. James' GAA Club hosted a Golf Classic in Cregmore Golf Club last weekend. 45 teams competed over the weekend. The winning team consisted of Alan O'Donnell, PJ O'Donnell, Brian Costello and Michael Lee.
